Kalender Sync

Infomaniak kSuite ↔ Google

Sync Infomaniak kSuite and Google Calendar

kSuite for the privacy-minded Swiss work world, Google for everything else – Kalender Sync keeps both in sync automatically, one- or two-way and with hosting that never leaves the EU.

No credit card · set up in under 5 minutes

Infomaniak kSuite is the Swiss suite alternative to Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 – popular with everyone who deliberately keeps their data in Switzerland. Many use kSuite for work and a Google calendar alongside it for clients, clubs or private appointments. An automatic sync was missing so far – kSuite speaks no OAuth, and generic solutions ignore the privacy requirement.

Kalender Sync connects kSuite over Infomaniak's official CalDAV endpoint with Google over OAuth and keeps both in sync. Per connection you choose the direction and how much is visible – consistently privacy-first. kSuite data stays in Switzerland, our connection logs in Germany. No US provider is involved.

How it works

In sync in 3 steps

01

Create an app password in kSuite

In kSuite, under Security, create an application-specific password. We use only Infomaniak's official CalDAV endpoint – no unofficial workarounds.

02

Connect kSuite & Google

In the Kalender Sync app, enter your kSuite email + the app password (CalDAV) and sign in with Google (OAuth). Both connections are verified immediately.

03

Choose direction & visibility

Set whether it runs kSuite → Google, Google → kSuite or both ways – and whether only "busy", title + time or full details are transferred.

One- or two-way

You choose the direction

Set, per connection, whether it mirrors one way only (e.g. Infomaniak kSuite → Google) or both calendars keep each other up to date (two-way sync). With two-way, a new event in Infomaniak kSuite automatically lands in Google – and vice versa.

Privacy

You decide what's visible

Per sync you pick one of three visibility levels: busy only, title + time, or full event details. Free/Busy is just the data-minimal default, not the ceiling – ideal when your Infomaniak kSuite and Google calendars carry different levels of confidentiality. You can even give blocked slots a custom name.

Connection & security

How Infomaniak kSuite and Google connect

Google connects via OAuth 2.0 (a token instead of a password, calendar scopes only). Infomaniak kSuite runs – like Apple – over CalDAV with an app-specific password you generate yourself in kSuite; we never see your actual kSuite password, and the app password is stored encrypted (ChaCha20-Poly1305). Important for compliance: kSuite calendar data stays in Infomaniak's Swiss data centre, our own connection logs at Hetzner in Germany (Falkenstein) – no US cloud provider is involved. Google changes arrive via webhook within seconds; the kSuite CalDAV side is synced every 5 minutes.

GDPR

100% GDPR-compliant, hosted in Germany

Kalender Sync is run by PPJ Venture Labs UG in Munich and hosts exclusively at Hetzner in Germany – no US cloud provider, no overseas servers. For companies there's a data processing agreement (DPA under GDPR Art. 28). Unlike generic guides that copy your event details unfiltered, with us what should stay private stays private.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does my kSuite data stay in Switzerland?

Yes. Your kSuite calendar data remains in Infomaniak's Swiss data centre. Kalender Sync itself hosts in Germany (Hetzner) – no US provider is involved.

Why do I need an app-specific password for kSuite?

kSuite offers no OAuth interface for external calendar tools, but CalDAV. The secure path is an app-specific password you create in kSuite's security settings and can revoke at any time.

Does it sync both ways?

Yes. You can sync kSuite and Google two-way or deliberately pick a single direction – configurable per connection.

Are my event details transferred?

Only as much as you allow. By default only "busy" is transferred; per sync you can step up to "title + time" or full details.

What does kSuite-Google syncing cost?

One synchronisation is permanently free on the Free plan. kSuite as a CalDAV provider is included from the Basic plan (€4/month). New accounts test all Business features free for 14 days, no credit card.
