New: 18-month sync horizon, a prefix in your target calendar & gapless recurring events

Kalender Sync

Tool comparison

Kalender Sync vs. Calhub – scheduling hub or lean sync?

Calhub is more than a sync: a unified view across accounts, scheduling links, Slack and Zoom integration – a small calendar workspace. For that, the Pro plan asks $32 a month. We won't make it easy on ourselves: here's an honest look at where Calhub is strong and where Kalender Sync makes the difference.

Background

What can Calhub do?

Calhub (calhub.app) bundles several Google and Outlook accounts into a unified calendar view and focuses on „Schedule with true availability": events are reconciled across all connected accounts so booking links only offer genuinely free slots. On top come unlimited scheduling links and bookings, Google Meet and Zoom integration and a Slack connection. The free plan is permanently free and already includes sync and scheduling (with a „Scheduling with Calhub" badge on booking links); Pro costs $32/month (around 20% less on annual billing) and adds branding removal, API access, team management, automations and priority support. The website does not disclose a company seat or hosting location.

Strengths

Where Calhub is strong

Sync and scheduling in one tool

A unified view, availability reconciliation and booking links from one hand – if you want Calendly-style scheduling next to your sync, Calhub saves you a second tool.

A generous free plan

Unlimited scheduling links and bookings, real-time sync across Google and Outlook accounts, Meet/Zoom and Slack integration – all already in the free plan, just with a Calhub badge. That's an honestly strong free offer.

Team features for everyday work

Slack integration, team member management and automations in the Pro plan clearly target teams that organise scheduling together – a use case pure sync tools don't cover.

Where Kalender Sync wins

Where Kalender Sync wins

A fraction of the price

Calhub Pro costs $32/month – eight times our Basic plan at €4/month, and even our Business plan at €10/month with unlimited accounts stays below a third. If you primarily need reliable calendar sync rather than a scheduling workspace, with Calhub you pay for a lot of functionality you'll never use.

9 provider types instead of Google and Outlook

Calhub connects Google and Outlook accounts. Kalender Sync covers Google, Microsoft Outlook/M365, Apple iCloud, GMX, WEB.DE, mailbox.org, Infomaniak kSuite, CalDAV and iCal feeds – if there's an iCloud, GMX or CalDAV calendar in your mix, a pure Google/Outlook hub won't get you there.

GMX & WEB.DE connected directly

As the only tool in this comparison, Kalender Sync connects the German consumer providers GMX and WEB.DE. Your private German mail calendar runs in a controlled way next to your work calendar – for many in the DACH region, the decisive building block.

A German company, Hetzner Nuremberg, a DPA

Kalender Sync is run by PPJ Venture Labs UG (haftungsbeschränkt) in Munich and hosts GDPR- and BDSG-compliant at Hetzner in Nuremberg – with a data processing agreement for business customers. Calhub discloses neither a company seat nor a hosting location; no DPA could be found. For companies with compliance requirements, that's a dealbreaker.

Three visibility levels per sync – with custom display names

You decide per synchronisation whether only „busy", „title + time" or full details are transferred – and set the name a blocked slot shows up as on the other side. This discretion control per connection is the core of our product.

Genuine live-sharing into other calendars

Calhub reconciles your own accounts and offers booking links outward. Kalender Sync additionally embeds your availability live into another person's calendar by invitation – no ICS subscription, no import, a true two-way sync. Accept once, and from then on everything stays synced automatically.

Decision guide

When should you pick which?

Calhub is the right choice if:

  • You want scheduling links, Meet/Zoom and Slack integration in one tool.
  • You only need to merge Google and Outlook accounts.
  • The free plan with the Calhub badge is enough for you.
  • Your team should organise scheduling and availability together and $32/month per user is fine.

Kalender Sync is the right choice if:

  • You want reliable calendar sync without paying for a scheduling workspace – Basic €4, Business €10/month.
  • You need a German contractual partner with a DPA, GDPR/BDSG compliance and hosting at Hetzner in Nuremberg.
  • You want to choose per sync between „busy only", „title + time" and full details.
  • You want to share your availability live into other people's calendars – not just send booking links.
  • You want the broadest provider coverage in this comparison: 9 provider types – Google, Microsoft Outlook/M365, Apple iCloud, GMX, WEB.DE, mailbox.org, Infomaniak kSuite, CalDAV and iCal feeds. Kalender Sync is the only tool in this comparison that connects the German providers GMX & WEB.DE.
