Frequently asked questions
Does this work with our timetable software or school portal?
There is no direct integration with timetable software. The workable route is the calendar: if your timetable or the school calendar is available as an iCal feed, Kalender Sync connects it read-only, included in the Professional plan. If the school runs on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, the regular OAuth connection applies.
Can parents or students see what else is in my calendar?
No. If you share office hours, that happens through a sharing at the level of detail you choose, by default only free or busy. Your other appointments stay invisible, and blocked times can carry a neutral label.
What about data protection in a school setting?
Processing happens exclusively in Germany at Hetzner in Nuremberg, with no transfer to third countries. A DPA is included in the Professional tier and available on request for Free and Basic. Also relevant for your data protection officer: on the default level no appointment content is transferred at all.
Can the whole school use this together?
That is what the Team plan is for, starting at five users: central account management, uniform sync and visibility policies, consolidated invoicing, a DPA and an audit log. SSO via Entra ID or Google Workspace is scoped individually on request. It is billed annually, with the per-user price based on size.
What about the long holidays when I do not need it?
The monthly plan has no minimum term; you can cancel with one click and the plan runs to the end of the paid period. If you stay year-round, annual billing is cheaper: pay for ten months, use twelve.
