Kalender Sync by
ICS toolkit

Open ICS files online and see every event

Drop the file in and see what's inside, including recurrences, time zones and hints about common import problems. Your file is never uploaded: everything runs locally in your browser, we never see a single event.

Paste text instead

Works with GoogleOutlookApple and every common calendar

Processed locally with ical.js (MPL-2.0).

In three steps

  1. 01

    Choose a file

Drag your .ics file into the box or paste its text. Email invitations (invite.ics) work too.

  2. 02

    Check the events

All events are shown in your time zone. Series are expanded within the chosen range, exceptions included.

  3. 03

    Use them

Print, export to Excel/CSV, or import the file into your calendar as usual.

Opening an ICS file on every device

The viewer above shows you the contents without writing anything to your calendar. To take the events over, import the file into your calendar:

Outlook (Windows)

Classic Outlook: double-click the file or File → Open & Export → Import/Export → "Import an iCalendar or vCalendar file". New Outlook and Outlook on the web: Calendar → Add calendar → Upload from file.

Google Calendar

On a computer at calendar.google.com: gear → Settings → Import & export → select file and target calendar. The Android and iPhone apps have no file import.

Apple Calendar (Mac, iPhone, iPad)

Mac: double-click or File → Import. iPhone/iPad: tap the file in the mail attachment and choose "Add All"; from the Files app use Share → Calendar.

Worth checking before you import

  • Are the times right? The viewer warns about missing or unknown time zones.
  • Is it an invitation (METHOD:REQUEST)? Your calendar may then reply to the organizer automatically.
  • How many events are there? A full calendar export otherwise lands unnoticed in your main calendar; better create a separate calendar first.

FAQ

How do I open an ICS file without Outlook?
With this viewer: drop the file in, done. You can also open it in Google Calendar (Settings → Import) or Apple Calendar (File → Import), but then the events go straight into your calendar.
How do I open an ICS file on my phone?
This page works on iPhone and Android: pick the file via "Choose file" from downloads or a mail attachment. View only, no import.
Why are events shown at the wrong time?
Usually the file lacks a time-zone definition (VTIMEZONE) or uses a Windows name like "W. Europe Standard Time". The viewer flags this and converts known zones correctly.
Can I print an ICS file?
Yes: open the events, then "Print". The print view contains just the event list.
What does the "invitation (METHOD:REQUEST)" hint mean?
The file is a meeting request. Some calendars automatically send a reply to the organizer on import. Not an error, just good to know.

Done with exporting and importing?

An ICS file is a snapshot. Kalender Sync keeps Google, Outlook, iCloud and more in sync continuously, GDPR-compliant and hosted in Germany.
